More and more new strategies are developed to keep skin healthier and younger looking, thus accelerating the development of anti-aging products by the pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries. One of the ways found to solve these problems is the use of antioxidant compounds, with caffeic acid being one of these representants. In view of this, this new technology proposes a process of preparing and obtaining dry polymeric films comprising caffeic acid for use as a cosmetodermatological product with antioxidant action and anti-aging of the skin.
This new technology has a higher antioxidant potential than other antioxidant compounds on the market, besides a greater stability and no cytotoxicity at the concentrations required to present activity. It also induces the production of collagen, thus preventing premature aging of the skin.
