This technology arises in the context of accidents that cause skin lesions and can cause serious damage to the patient, as well as bring some complications in skin repair when these injuries are located on limbs that have little elasticity or with scarcity of local tissues.
The present technology consists of a platelet gel enriched with silver sulfadiazine and zinc sulfate for external use in the treatment of ulcers, using the antimicrobial properties of silver and zincoantimicrobial cicatrizants.
This technology brings improvements in the life of the chronic wounds sufferers, be they chronic-degenerative or not, aiding in its treatment from its antimicrobial and regenerative properties. With it there is a chance to reduce public spending since it is a more economical and efficient method for the treatment of ulcers.
According to data from the Ministry of Health and the National Institute of Social Security, about 2.5% of the Brazilian population suffers from chronic wounds, which is the 14th cause of labor withdrawal - this condition is already seen as a public health issue. The present technology aims to improve the tissue repair dynamics by acting on the metabolism and healing of the patient, allied to the activity.
