The leather waste industry has been an environmental and economic problem, since this material requires high costs to be disposed of in an ecologically correct manner. In this sense, we have looked for alternatives for the use of this residue. The main means used for the use of this substrate was the production of an anti-static composite, which has the capacity to solve a problem faced by several industries: the accumulation of static charge.

 

 

SOLUTION

 

The proposed technology describes a material with anti-static property for floor covering or other surfaces, which can be applied in the industries having such complications. Another benefit found in this material is the fact that it has higher electrical current conductivity than other products found on the market today. In addition to these advantages, this invention provides a viable solution to the environmental and economic problems generated by discarding the industrial waste leather.
