The metabolomic studies consist of three main steps: sample preparation, data acquisition and data processing, the preparation of the sample is the key point, since the biological interpretation depends on the ability to extract the widest range of metabolites and in detectable quantities. However, the sample preparation did not develop much when compared to the other two stages, being in most cases a manual step that requires a lot of time, extraction techniques and use of solvents, often toxic, both from an occupational and environmental point of view. This new technology describes a refinement of a liquid chromatograph for the complete extraction of micromolecules, in addition to several precepts of green chemistry.
The present technology is an improvement for liquid chromatograph that allows the complete extraction of micromolecules, attending to several precepts of the green chemistry, reducing the number of manual steps and the generation of analytical errors, residues of solvents and other consumables.
