According to the World Health Organization (WHO), about one-third of the world's population is infected by m. tuberculosis and it is estimated that one in ten infected individuals will develop the disease. Another 60-90%, despite being infected, keep the infection under control as they develop an effective immune response. In this sense, the development of new options for the treatment of tuberculosis is of fundamental importance.
The proposed invention describes a process for obtaining a medicament for the treatment of tuberculosis. This is composed of copper isoniazid and a lipid nanostructure, which has the function of compartmentalizing and altering the behavior and properties of that complex in biological environment. This compound has a high index of selectivity, being a fundamental factor for the efficiency of this drug in the fight against tuberculosis.
